Toll bills come from the agency that runs the road, not from the state. Paying on time keeps the fees small and your registration clear.
Have these ready

Find the agency on the bill
Common ones are TxTag (TxDOT), NTTA (Dallas–Fort Worth) and HCTRA (Houston). Pay only through the agency's own website or phone line. TxDOT tolls

Pay or dispute before the due date
If the bill looks wrong (not your car, already paid), contact the agency to dispute it before it's due.

Consider a toll tag
A tag usually costs less per toll than pay-by-mail and avoids future bills in the mail.
